Travel Planner

The Travel Planner sits next to the stock table and answers the question the whole feature exists for: when you fly from one of your locations to the other, which parts should be in the case?

Choosing a direction

Pick a location under From and one under To; the button between the two selects swaps them, because the answer for the way back is a different one. The list updates immediately — there is nothing to save, it is a view of your current numbers.

How the list is calculated

For every part, the planner works with two figures:

• What the destination is missing — the gap between the minimum you set for the destination and what is actually there. If Portugal should hold 6 propellers and holds 2, it is missing 4. Parts with no gap never appear in the list.
• What the origin can spare — what it holds above its own minimum. Switzerland with 12 propellers and a minimum of 8 can hand over 4, not 12.

You are asked to pack the smaller of the two. That second rule is the important one: it keeps you from emptying one workshop to fill the other. Restocking Portugal never leaves Switzerland below the level you decided you need there.

Take along, and order before you leave

The result is shown as two groups. The blue take entries are the packing list, each with the number of units and the reasoning behind it — how many are at the origin, how many more the destination needs. The heading adds up the total number of units so you know whether this fits in hand luggage or needs a box.

Below that, the amber order before you leave group lists what the origin cannot cover: parts where nothing can be spared, or not enough of it. These are the ones to buy while you are still at home, and they are the reason the planner is worth opening a few days before a trip rather than on the way to the airport.

If the destination is fully stocked, the planner says so instead of showing an empty list. Picking the same location twice does nothing, for obvious reasons.

After the trip

The planner does not move stock on its own — it cannot know what actually ended up in the case. When you arrive, correct the numbers with the plus and minus buttons in the table (see Parts & Stock Levels), or edit the part and enter both locations at once. From then on the planner is right again for the way back.
