Dashboard Overview

Once you've successfully imported your flight logs, the UAV Desk dashboard becomes your central command center. This page explains the different sections and what information they provide.

Welcome Section

At the top of your dashboard, you'll see a personalized welcome message and an overview of your subscription status. This gives you a quick glance at your current plan and any important account information.

Subscription & Storage

The Subscription section displays your current plan (Free, Basic, Pro, or Unlimited) and provides a quick link to view and upgrade your plan if needed.

The Storage Usage card shows you how much of your allocated storage you're using. Storage is tracked across several categories:

  • Flight Logs — Raw flight data from your transmitter (flylog.csv files). This is typically small in size but contains essential flight information.
  • Flight Telemetry — GPS and sensor telemetry data recorded during flights (TeleLog CSV files). This is more detailed but uses more storage.
  • Config Files — Backup and version history of your UAV configuration files (EdgeTX config backups, firmware versions, etc.).
  • Maintenance Files — Documentation related to maintenance logs and service records.

💡 Tip: You can manually refresh the storage counts by clicking the "Refresh" button if you've recently imported new files.

Flight Statistics

Below the storage section, you'll see key statistics about your flights:

  • Total Flights — The total number of flights recorded in your system. This includes all flights imported from your transmitter.
  • GPS Tracked Flights — The number of flights that include GPS telemetry data. These flights have the most detailed information available.
  • Total Flight Time — The cumulative flight time across all your recorded flights, displayed in hours.

These metrics help you quickly understand your flying activity and data collection patterns at a glance.

Navigation to Other Sections

From the main dashboard, you can navigate to other key areas of UAV Desk:

  • UAV Management — Register, configure, and manage your aircraft fleet. Track maintenance, firmware versions, and configuration files.
  • Flight Logs — View, search, and filter your recorded flights with detailed performance data.
  • Reports — Generate comprehensive flight reports and performance analytics.
  • Imports — Upload new flight logs and telemetry files from your transmitter.

Best Practices

  • Keep your UAV names consistent — Use the same name in your transmitter's model list as you register in UAV Management. This ensures automatic matching of telemetry data to the correct aircraft.
  • Monitor storage regularly — If you approach your plan limit, consider upgrading or exporting old flights for archival.
  • Review statistics periodically — Use the flight statistics to track your progress and adjust your flying schedule accordingly.

Next steps:

  • Proceed to UAV Management to register your aircraft and configure telemetry mapping.
  • If you're importing for the first time, return to Getting Started for detailed setup instructions.
