Waypoints & Route Editing

A flight plan is an ordered list of waypoints plus an optional home / launch point. Waypoints are placed on the map and edited in the planning panel; both views always stay in sync — selecting a waypoint in the list highlights it on the map and vice versa.

Adding and moving waypoints

  • Add — enable "New Flight Plan" (edit) mode in the map toolbar, then click the map. Each click appends a numbered waypoint to the route. New waypoints inherit the plan's default altitude and default speed.
  • Move — drag any waypoint marker on the map to a new position.
  • Reorder — use the up/down arrows on a waypoint row in the panel to change its position in the route. Numbering updates automatically.
  • Delete — remove a single waypoint from its row, or use "Clear" to delete all waypoints while keeping the plan's name and defaults.

Home / launch point

Right-click (long-press on touch devices) anywhere on the map to set the home / launch point, shown as its own marker. Drag the marker to move it. The home point is the reference for the first leg's distance and, if its altitude is known, for translating AGL altitudes into absolute heights in the 3D view. RTH (return-to-home) actions also refer to this point.

Plan-level settings

At the top of the panel you can name the plan and set the default altitude and default speed applied to newly added waypoints. The panel footer shows the waypoint count and per-leg distances so you always know how long the route is.
